Elizabethan Women's Arched Brim Hat
The hat is shown from both sides, it is worn with a bun that is encased in a gold mesh caul. I bought the bun in LA and is great if you have enought hair the pull into a pony tail but not much more. The tall hat is a felted wool fabric covered, buckram hat. I arrived at the pattern for this hat through trial and error with cardboard. I starting with a pattern given in "Elizabethan Costuming" by Janet Winter & Carolyn Savoy on page 142.
