Photo 6. Detail photo of the lining of the man's cape seen last month in Photo 4. The design of the couched cording on the outside of the cape was repeated in the quilting of the red silk lining. The rows of black soutache also repeat the rows of trim on the outside of the cape. The quilting is done with black silk thread. The cape is not padded with batting but has just one layer of course wool interlining.
