Photo 14
Photo 14. Detail shot of the center front of the wool cape from photo 1 last month. I used 2 strands of embroidery thread to sew a running stitch about 1/4" in from the piping edge. The stitches don't show along the outside of the cape because they match the green wool but they stand out on the gold linen-cotton lining. This is just a simple running stitch that progresses rapidly especially if you use a long needle like a milliner's needle. I use them for many things other than just hats because they are thin, sharp and long.
