Crimson and Burgundy Elizabethan Gown Skirt and Underbodice
Crimson and Burgundy Elizabethan
Gown Skirt and Underbodice
On this gown I decided to attach the skirt to a front opening underbodice.
This has advantages over a waistband, with a waistband there is usually
a problem of the separation of the bodice and waistband when one sits or bends
over also, the thickness of the waistband makes a ridge that reads through the
bodice.
This underbodice closes in the front with hook and eye tape (white) and has the
false silk chemise sleeves sewn on to the armholes.
