Tudor French Hood 3/4 View
This French hood was styled to look like one worn by Queen Catherine Howard
in 1542 in a drawing by Herbert Norris (fig. 406) from his book "Tudor Costume
and Fashion". It was made up in fabric covered plastic canvas. The beads and
pearls were first strung on wire and then whip stitched on to the edges with
metallic
thread.
