Tudor French Hood from Back
The tube or hood of this hat is made of a matching fabric to the rest of the hat but with a smaller motif. It is also vintage fabric (1940's German draperies). French hoods were mostly but not always black velvet. I probably should have made the tube at least in black. I didn't find this out until after I made the costume.
